### Espresso

Our founders have been serving coffee to the local community for more than a decade, always from independent London roasters who know the farms their coffee comes from.

Roaster: Square Mile Coffee Roasters, East London (founded 2008). We serve speciality coffee from Square Mile, the East London roastery founded in 2008 by Anette Moldvaer and World Barista Champion James Hoffmann. Every coffee is seasonal and fully traceable, bought from producers Square Mile has worked with for over a decade, and each lot is roasted to its own profile. The coffee in your cup changes with the harvest, so what we serve is always in season.

House bean: **Red Brick** — Espresso (house espresso); origin Colombia / Peru; tasting notes Cherry / Chocolate mousse / Forest fruits / Caramel. Bags: 350g (ask at the bar); 1kg (ask at the bar).

### Kitchen

All-day breakfast, open rye toasts, classic sandwiches on sourdough and a daily salad from 11:30am. Everything from our kitchen is cooked from scratch, with seasonal produce from local suppliers. Our founder Vic Raworth, a nutritionist for over 20 years, puts together a colourful daily line-up of salads designed for the season. Local baker Caroline Barton, also a qualified nutritionist, brings traditional methods, natural ingredients and inventive flavours to our cakes and pastries, all lovingly baked at home. Breakfast and lunch are served on fresh sourdough and rye, with new specials each week. Please tell us about any allergies before you order.

### Stereo

Music is at the heart of Black Flower Social, playing from the first espresso of the morning to the last glass of wine, with a soft spot for 70s soul, blues, groove and club classics. By night the bar hosts vinyl listening sessions and sets from guest DJs and club scene veterans, bringing the neighbourhood together over aperitivo and snacks.

### Socials

We host a series of evening events with writers, artists, creatives and seminal figures from pop culture, literature, photography, music, publishing, fashion, design, food and drink, and film. Each is an intimate night of stories and conversation, with places strictly limited and tickets sold only over the counter. Event categories include Stereo, Talks, Kitchen, Aperitivo and Coffee. ### Aperitivo

From Thursday to Saturday, 5pm to 9pm, we serve aperitivo, with a curated selection of wines from local independent producers, and spritzes and Negronis crafted to pair with seasonal homemade snacks. Please drink responsibly
